What is MatchlessA.com?
MatchlessA.com is a website where collectors and artists of all over the world meet. It hosts one of the largest collections of Indian contemporary art and other arts online and is a one stop resource for anything related to arts. It provides artworks from collectors and artists both covering over all the major forms of today’s art.
Works from Collectors: Collectors can send us their works for other collectors and artists to see and admire. The site is providing individual email addresses of each user so that all can send personal messages to each other and share their views about the art. Also they can sell artworks privately and discreetly without paying any commissions to anyone else.
Works from Artists: The website also hosts works of great artists who have been especially invited to place their artworks here on the site and given an opportunity to sell their works directly to the collectors.
How do I post my collection?
All you need to post your collection are images of your artworks. The ideal size of your image should be 100-150 KB (jpeg or gif). The image should be good quality WITHOUT borders, frames and text.
Once you have this image, just fill up our small form with your User name and click Submit if you are already registered. Remember to add the bio-data if it is a new artist. Also do write a few words about the artwork and your impressions on the same. Just the way you would explain to a friend who visits your home!
Do I have to pay to post my collection?
Not for our "Exibit for FREE Membership Plan" atleast. MatchlessA.com is hosting art collections with the aim to promote art online. This service is FREE for our Basic Members (Exibit for FREE Membership Plan Holders) and then a small fee is charged to sustain and maintain the site. (See Membership plans here)
Should I post my collection only if I want to buy sell art works?
Absolutely not! The main objective of this site is to share your art collection with like minded collectors of contemporary & modern art all over the world. Other collectors will enjoy viewing your paintings and can send you messages complimenting it. They may also seek information on the artists or references for getting their artworks. Buying and selling is only a secondary objective of the website, but a logical one.
Where on MatchlessA.com can I view my collection?
Your collection can be seen on various pages on the website. It can be seen on the MatchlessA.com Gallery, in the Artist's Portfolio pages , and in the Home page of the website in the first few days of it being posted by you on the website.
How will I know if the works posted on this site are original?
Each collector agrees with the 'Terms & Conditions' of MatchlessA.com while posting their paintings. This clearly states that the artwork is original and he/ she have documentary proof for the same. If it is not so, MatchlessA.com is not responsible for the same.
What do I do if I want to cancel my work from the website or if I wish to edit information that I have given against it?
You just have to fill out our "update my profile" Form on this page and send it to us, we will update your profile as soon as possible.
I am an artist. How can I sell my works through MatchlessA.com?
If you are a professional artist or just want to sell your works you should register with MatchlessA.com at "Register Here". Our Art Panel will review your application on the basis of your sample art works and bio data and send you an invite or reject mail for the site accordingly. Please keep in mind that the Art Panel's decision is final on this. If you are invited to the MatchlessA.com, All you have to do is upload the images of your art works and set your own price.
How do I set my prices on MatchlessA.com?
MatchlessA.com is having no concern with the Prices of any artwork on the website, it’s all upon the Artist or the artwork owner and all the contract and terms are between the buyer and the seller itself.
MatchlessA.com is not at all charging any commissions on any sale or purchase on this site.
Are there any specifications of size of the image that I submit?
Yes, it is preferred that the size of the painting or any artwork is 100-120KB big. Also, please make sure that you have edited out the borders and frames from the photograph. (If you can’t, we will do it for you.)
I have uploaded the image of my portfolio but it is still not showing on the website?
When you upload the images of your portfolio, it goes to the backend office for editing and checking clarity of each image. Once this is done the image gets activated on the website. If there are many works waiting for submission at the back end, then they are put in queue to be uploaded gradually in one or two day’s time.
Where can I view m work on the website?
Paintings on the MatchlessA.com are posted in various categories.
- The entire gallery can be viewed on MatchlessA.com Gallery.
- Works that have recently been posted can be viewed on site Home page.
Artists can see their works on their mini website e.g. if the name of the artist is Radha Sharma, the mini website name will be www.matchlessa.com/radhasharma
